Is there a way I can have some kind of text block area which will
render html, preferebly during design, but if not, after output to pdf
or something?

Hi Jason, I am afraid that I don't understand what you are trying to
do.

Do you want to import html or do you want to export html... I
apologise but I am confused.

I want to import HTML. That is to say: I want to have a text box
within inDesign and I want to paste some HTML code there. I want that
HTML code to render as it would with a web browser when I print the
document. The html code would be rather basic.

Thanks,
-Jason

Hi Jason

I've never had to do it myself and, looking online, it seems that it
is not straight forward at all. Your best bet would probably be to use
XHTML and import it as XML. There are some good tips in the comments
of http://indesignsecrets.com/pasting-formatted-text-into-indesign.php.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I believe what I'm trying to do is impossible.
InDesign just isn't meant for handling html code that contains
paragraphs and indentations. What I think I would have to do would be
to write a little batch script or something that converts the HTML to
tagged text. Thanks!

Perhaps the easiest workaround would be to render the .html in your browser
and save the screen shot to place on the page.
