Can't type to folder names in Save/Export dialogs in InDesign CS4

More of an annoyance, and I'm unsure whether this is a problem with
Vista or InDesign, however since moving workstations I've been having
problems with the Save/Export dialogs in InDesign CS4.

Like normal windows behaviour, you can usually "type to" a folder/file
by first clicking a folder in the dialog and then typing the name of
the folder/file. This works perfectly when using the Open and Place
dialogs, however for some reason when I start to "type to" a folder/
file in the Save/Export dialogs it instead begins to replace the
filename, even though I've already clicked a folder in the dialog
therefore unselecting the "File name:" box.

This is quite annoying when I've got many folders to navigate around,
any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Windows Vista
- InDesign CS4

Hi Brad, you may want to reset your Indesign preferences and see if
this solves your problem.

To do this, rename the folder in "C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]
\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\[indesign version]" to "C:\Documents
and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\[indesign
version]_backup" (you could also just delete the folder but I always
prefer keeping a backup of my preferences, just in case).

Hope this helps.
