Hi,

Is there a way to open an InDesign template as original from Bridge? When I double-click on the INDT file in Bridge, it creates a new INDD document, which is not what I want.

I'm asking this because I have "cleverly" placed my InDesign templates in the same folder as the InDesign sample templates as that is what Bridge opens to when I click on "Document from Template".

Now I want to edit the template and it seems that I have to hunt down where this folder and open it from there. Is there an easier way around this?

Thanks!

Just change the extension temporarily to .indd, then back to .indt when you are done. That's the only difference between a regular doc and a template, and all it does is change the default opening behavior, i.e. .indd opens original, .indt opens as a copy.
