Hello...
We have big problem in InDesign CS2 4.0.5.
When import word doc into indesign with more big tables in it, some tables which have row height larger than page size wont resize or span onto next page. I even can't manualy resize row height and in lower right corner is small red dot which indicate overset text. Row in this situation have fixed height.

What we can do?

thanks

I guess you could convert the table to text and then sort it out.

Something is weird if cells are taller than pages, and it suggests a
table is not what you really want or need in this situation. Good luck.

Rows will not split across a frame boundary. That's why the maximum row height is there, to prevent permanently overset text that would be even more difficult to deal with.

You can change the maximum height setting for a cell:

Table/Cell Options/Rows and Columns

But if you make it taller than your text frames, instead of the cell being overset, the whole story will be when a row becomes taller than the frame. To recover from this, you'll need to start out by temporarily making the text frame taller until the row does fit. Then, how you make it less tall will be a judgment call based on content.
