Column lines disappear

I set the columns in my master page then I did some work on the regular pages. Now the column lines don't show. I have gone to View/Grids&Guides/Lock Column guides and turned them on and then off and then on but nothing happens. I have also been back in to Layout/Margins and Columns and reset but still no column lines or gutters appear. I am in CS2 in Windows/

Are you in preview mode? With nothing sleected, hit W.

Thanks Ken and Ken, However, neither of this actions produced column lines. Any more ideas? Thanks.

Did you assign the master to the live page?

How about View > Guides and Grids > Show Guides?

The only other thing that comes to mind is they're hidden behind some filled frame.

I had a similar issue to this and was looking for an answer, and just figured it out. My issue was that there was an option set called "Guides in Back". Didn't know this was even an option. Right click > grids & guides >.
