Side/Margin notes possible?

Can side or margin notes be created in InDesign? I would like the margin note to follow automatically the word it defines or documents if the word changes page.

Is this possible in InDesign? If not, in which software is this possible?

It is possible using anchored frames in InDesign CS2.
