Can anyone move me in the right direction? Our IT staff did not install the InDesign C2 scripts that come bundled with the software. Can you tell me how to install them once I get my hands on the files? <br><br>Thanks <br><br>KEN PANTHEN, Albany, NY

Put them in this folder: <br><br>C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS2\Presets\Scripts <br><br>Then run them from the scripts pallete in Indesign. Make sure they have a .jsx extension

I've never had problems running a script with the .js extension instead of .jsx, although some of those were designed to run on CS and will encounter errors where the object model differs. You can run CS scripts in CS2 by making a sub-folder inside the regular scripts folder for them. Name the subfolder "Version 3.0 Scripts" and ID is smart enough to use the correct object model.

thanks all,

Does anyone have a script that can turn any PANTONE color to process black and then print it?

Thanks

Are you just looking to automate this, or are you unaware of your ability to alias a spot to any other ink in the document using the ink manager?

Peter,

I am aware of the alias taking everything to process black, but I really wanted to automate this and do two things: 1) print a copy in 100% process black, and 2) produce a PDF file in color at the same time.

Thanks

If wishes were horses...

But seriously, I suspected you knew about the aliasing. I'm sorry I don't have a script to help you out, but if you find one, would you let us know? Doing two things at once... :)
