Importing Excel File with Hyperlinks

Is there a way to import an Excel file formatted with hyperlinks intact into InDesign CS3, and then be able to format the information into a table? My end goal is to create a PDF file from InDesign with the hyperlinks.

What happens if you paste the table into Word and then Place the Word file?

Pasting it into Word and then placing it in InDesign worked.
