I created a 60 page image intensive InDesign (Cs3) document and was preparing to print, when the Cisco VPN Network Switch went bad. Unfortunately, while creating this very last minute project, I did not have time to save all the images to my harddrive, so all of them were linked to items on our "public drive" and when the switch went, so did the file! Now, I have a 60 page document, that I can randomly open and look at, but can't print to the printer, a pdf or even convert it, before it throws up an Error Code: 6 and shuts down InDesign! It keeps trying to "recover" the file, but then crashes.
We are randomly able to print a few pages at a time, but then it goes down again.
I have already moved all the images to my harddrive and re-linked them to the new locations. I also deleted the "SING" file, per some other suggestions on another forum. And, I deleted some suspicious items from the actual document as well.
Now, my harddrive has bad sectors and after scandisk and disk defrag, IT has said, new harddrive...but that still doesn't fix my InDesign 60 page booklet.....Any suggestions?

Here is the message I am getting at this point:

If ID still opens the file, you could try saving it as Interchange (INX) file. That cleans out any remains of 'dirty' data. Open the INX file and save again as regular document, but take care not to accidentally overwrite your original.

If this doesn't work, read this thread <http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.ef9bb49.3c034787/75>; a number of people are able and willing to check the file out. Even if they cannot repair it, they might learn something for CS5.
